Excavators often "drop the chain"
Excavator off-chain, commonly known as off-chain, means that the track is separated from the track formed by the drive wheel, supporting roller, guide wheel, and supporting sprocket. Since the excavator often works in some harsh environments, and the crawler is a part that directly contacts the ground, when the working ground is bad and the operation is improper, it will often cause the chain to be disconnected. Let's list a few common reasons below, and analyze how to avoid dropping the chain.
The reason why the excavator dropped the chain
There are many reasons for the derailment of the track. The first is external reasons. Too rough road surface will seriously unbalance the force on the track shoe, causing the track to detach. Secondly, the driver's improper operation and rough forward and turning operations may also cause the track to derail. In addition to the above two external reasons, the failure of the excavator chassis itself is also a reason that cannot be ignored. Common failures of the chassis are:
1. Since the radial planes of several sets of wheels that make up the track track are not in the same plane, that is, the tracks are not aligned and cannot fit well with the track track, resulting in poor rotation and operation of the track track, and eventually the track track is detached from the track.
2. The track is too loose, which is easy to understand. The loose track will have a relatively large gap when turning or the ground is uneven. The track track cannot play a good guiding role, and track derailment is inevitable. .
3. Due to the excessive wear of the chain guard, the chain guard cannot properly limit the track, and the track shoe swings too much, resulting in off-chain.
how to avoid falling off the chain
Now that we understand the reasons for the derailment of the track, we can prescribe the right medicine to avoid the occurrence of off-chain in time, so how to avoid it?
1. When operating or turning on a construction site with bad ground, if you find that the crawler has initial signs of deviating from the track, you should stop in time, lift the crawler and idle for a few laps, and let the crawler return to the correct position.
2. The shafts of the drive wheels, support rollers, guide wheels, and supporting sprockets should be greased frequently to fully lubricate and avoid excessive wear.
3. The guide wheel can be moved back and forth to adjust the tightness of the track. Therefore, special protection should be given to the guide wheel at ordinary times, and timely check whether the tensioning cylinder is working normally and whether the oil seal is leaking. If there is any damage, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
4. Check whether the chain guard is excessively worn or loose, and if so, repair or replace it in time.
5. In addition, always check whether foreign objects such as stones and soil are involved in the track, and clean up in time if there is any.
