Fault diagnosis of tension spring buffer device of excavator accessories!


In order to ensure that the crawler running device can work normally and reduce the impact load and extra power consumption during walking, each crawler is equipped with a tensioning device to maintain a certain tension of the crawler. The tensioning device of the track must use the guide wheel to realize the tension of the track. However, after a certain period of time, the excavator tension spring buffer device will also fail, thereby affecting the normal operation of the excavator.

Insufficient tension will make the crawler loose, and the crawler is easy to fall off when turning sharply, and the buffer is insufficient, which will easily increase the dynamic load between parts; excessive tension will accelerate the wear of the "four wheels and one belt".
2. Damage to parts of tension buffer device
(1) Adjustment screw damage
The main defect of the adjusting screw is that the screw thread is damaged and cannot be adjusted; the bending of the screw causes the guide wheel to be skewed, and deviation occurs.

(2) The buffer spring is bent, its elastic force drops and breaks
Excessive bending of the buffer spring will lead to deviation, too much elastic force drop and breakage will reduce the buffering efficiency and easily damage the spring center tie rod.
(3) The central tie rod is broken
The breakage of the central tie rod is mainly caused by the sudden compression and relaxation of the spring when passing through obstacles, which causes the tie rod to generate impact or tensile load.

(4) Damage to the hydraulic tensioning device
The hydraulic tensioning device is used, and the damage of the push rod, buffer spring, and center rod is the same as the above. Other damages are: the mating surface of the oil cylinder and the piston is worn, especially the piston sealing element is damaged, the tightening grease enters the low-pressure chamber, and the selected tensioning device fails. There are many forms of crawler tensioning devices, and hydraulic tensioning devices are widely used. It uses a hand pump to inject butter into the tensioning device, and adjusts the position of the guide wheel by the oil cylinder and plunger to achieve the tension of the track.
